Today is Tuesday, Jan. 25. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. A dusting: Snow showers are likely before 2 p.m., but less than one inch is expected to fall, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures should be near 30 during the day and drop to the low-20s at night.
  2. Basketball: The Winchester High girls’ basketball team (6-6) will face its third straight tough Middlesex League opponent in Stoneham (9-2) at 5:30 p.m. on the road. After winning six consecutive games, the Sachems are coming off losses to one-loss Woburn (8-1) and undefeated Reading (12-0). The boys’ basketball team (6-5) will look to make it two in a row tonight at Stoneham (3-9) at 7 p.m. After losing four games in a row, the Sachems beat Reading 76-66 on Friday.
  3. Team Milan: At 7 p.m., Team Milan will be holding a at the .  is a group of parents, friends, coaches, teachers and community members who have joined together to support Milan Moosavizadeh and his family as well as all student athletes in our community.  Milan, a student and star soccer player at suffered during a soccer tournament on May 29, 2010.  Milan was without oxygen for a long time.  After an extended hospitalization, Milan is finally home with his family fighting each day to regain the ability to move his body, to speak, to see. 
  4. School Committee meeting: The School Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the library.
  5. POTUS: President Barack Obama will deliver his second State of the Union address at 9 p.m.
