Today is Thursday, Jan. 12. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Some snow: Don’t worry there won’t be much accumulation, but it will be enough to make it for a messy commute. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Thursday is expected to be 41 degrees. It’s expected to snow early Thursday morning and by the afternoon it should turn to rain. Snow accumulation should remain under an inch.
  2. Town Manager: Winchester’s new at the , Thursday, Jan. 12 at noon. It costs $15 to attend the meeting.
  3. Italian with Sabrina: Take two-hour grammar and conversation group lessons for intermediate students. Classes are 10 Wednesdays in a private Winchester home, beginning on Jan. 4 until March 7.   4. Town Election: Looking to get involved in town government? The Board of Selectmen, School Committee and Planning Board will each have two seats up for re-election. Interested candidates can pick up nomination papers at the Town Clerk’s office. The last day to obtain nomination players is Feb. 3 and the last day to submit them is Tuesday, Feb. 7.
  5. Winter Farmers Market: Beginning Jan. 14 and running to March 17, will be hosting an at its Winchester location. The event, similar to the , will run every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
