Today is Tuesday, Jan. 17. Here are five things you need to know.

1. Rainy day: There’s still no snow this winter. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Monday is expected to be 44 degrees. 2. Redistricting: Come learn more and share your ideas regarding the

Enrollment growth, an anticipated move of school administration to Parkhurst Elementary, and the expected opening of a larger Vinson-Owen Elementary School in September 2013 necessitate the School District redraft elementary school boundaries. 4. Census: Annual will be mailed to Winchester residents during the week of January 9. All households must respond to the mailing by February 15. In the mailings will be Transfer Station permits and information on the fee increases.
5. Town Election: Looking to get involved in town government? The Board of Selectmen, School Committee and Planning Board will each have two seats up for re-election. Interested candidates can pick up nomination papers at the Town Clerk’s office. The last day to obtain nomination players is Feb. 3 and the last day to submit them is Tuesday, Feb. 7.
