Today is Tuesday, Jan. 24. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Rain early: It should be a little wet for your morning commute on Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Monday is expected to be 49 degrees. There’s a chance of some rain this morning. By 9 a.m. it the sun should come out and become pretty comfortable.
  2. Kid Connection: The goal of , the licensed pre-school, is to support parent and child as they deal with the daily challenges of their new experiences and their individual needs. Kid Connection accepts children who are 2.9 years of age by Sept. 1, 2012 through age five. There’s an open house, Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Winchester Recreation Dept.   3. Justice Denied: This talk will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the tells the as seen through the eyes of a Japanese American family. It follows their passage from immigration in the 1890's through imprisonment during the war years, and documents how they rebuilt their lives thereafter. This event is free and open to the public. Coffee and cookies will be available at 10 a.m. The speaker, Margaret Yamamoto, is co-president of the New England Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League, a national human rights and educational organization.  
  4. Flu Shots: It’s still flu season, and there’s still time for you to get your flu shot. The next flu clinic in Winchester is Thursday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at
  5. Daddy/daughter dance: The daddy/daughter dance, which was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Burlington Marriot.
