Today is Tuesday, July 12. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Hotter, and bring an umbrella: Temperatures will continue to rise on Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today is 93 degrees. There’s a chance of thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday. By Tuesday night temperatures should drop to a more comfortable 68 degrees.
  2. Jack and Jill: will be holding at the . The first show will be Jack and Jill today from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. This show is for all ages and costs $5. The show is comically based on familiar plots with new twists, runs approximately 30-40 minutes long and is ideally suited for ages three years and up.
  3. Road Construction: The will begin paving Lockeland Road on Tuesday, July 5. The construction will last two weeks from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The DPW is informing residents that they should expect delays and recommends drivers to seek alternate routes.
  4. First Time Homebuyer’s Class: The Community Service Network of Stoneham will be holding a free. The class will begin on Wednesday, July 20 and will continue for the next three Wednesday evenings. It’s sponsored by the and will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-Registration is required and is limited to approximately 20 people.
