Today is Wednesday, July 13. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Still hot: So, temperatures aren’t expected to reach the mid-90s, it’s still going to be hot today. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Wednesday is 88 degrees. There’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., and continuing into Wednesday night.
  2. MBTA to the Jenks: MBTA staff will be on hand at the today from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to issue . Staff will also be available at this time to answer any questions regarding the MBTA’s automated fare collection system. New Senior Charlie Card IDs will be processed for customers exchanging their expired Senior IDs and to first -time senior customers (65+ with proof of age). The permanent ones will be mailed to you.
  3. Concerts on the Common: There will be live entertainment every Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm on the throughout the summer. This week’s band is the
  4. Road Construction: The will begin paving Lockeland Road on Tuesday, July 5. The construction will last two weeks from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The DPW is informing residents that they should expect delays and recommends drivers to seek alternate routes.
