Today is Friday, July 15. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Early Work Day: Come on. It’s the summer and today is the ideal day to hang out on the Common. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Friday is 78 degrees. It should be mostly sunny throughout the day and by Friday night there will be some clouds, as temperatures drop to 61 degrees.
  2. Construction on 93: Route 60 (Salem Street) under 93 will be closed during the construction of the southbound bridge structure. East of I-93, Route 60 (Salem Street) will be open to local traffic only with the on-ramp to I-93 Northbound remaining open. Brookside Parkway will be closed south of Water Street. Motorists traveling through the intersection of Route 60 (Salem Street) and Route 28 (Fellsway) will be directed to use Fellsway to Riverside Avenue. West of 93, all motorists will be directed to use Riverside Avenue. In addition, motorists traveling southbound on Brookside Parkway will be directed to use Water Street to Oakland Street.
  3. Summer Camp: Currently in its 32nd season, the is once again gearing up for its annual summer camp. The five-week program provides kids with various opportunities to perform. This summer, the camp offers two weeks of shorter one-act musical productions for campers to perform in, complete with musical numbers and dance. The final three weeks will be spent on small group scene-work as well as improvisational workshops and games. The entire camp will simultaneously be working to put together the large production at the end of camp, and this year the summer culminates with Camp Rock: The Musical.
  4. Pride Park: At 6 p.m. tonight, the Winchester Field Development Council (WFDC) is having a groundbreaking ceremony for its  structure at . The park's naming right has been secured by the Frattaroli Family of Winchester in loving honor of their son Mark.
