Today is Friday, July 4. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Chance of rain: In case you’re heading out to a fireworks show, be sure you bring your umbrella. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Monday is 86 degrees. There’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 1 a.m.
  2. Road Construction: The will begin paving Lockeland Road on Tuesday, July 5. The construction will last two weeks from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The DPW is informing residents that they should expect delays and recommends drivers to seek alternate routes.
  3. Fireworks: If you’re looking for a place to watch some fireworks on Monday night, be sure toof area towns that will be shooting them off.
  4. First Time Homebuyer’s Class: The Community Service Network of Stoneham will be holding a free. The class will begin on Wednesday, July 20 and will continue for the next three Wednesday evenings. It’s sponsored by the and will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-Registration is required and is limited to approximately 20 people.
