Today is Tuesday, July 5. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. More heat: It may not be as hot as last summer, but Tuesday may feel a little uncomfortable. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today is 86 degrees. It should be mostly sunny throughout the day. By Tuesday night, it will become cloudy with temperatures dropping to 64 degrees.
  2. Road Construction: The will begin paving Lockeland Road on Tuesday, July 5. The construction will last two weeks from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The DPW is informing residents that they should expect delays and recommends drivers to seek alternate routes.
  3. First Time Homebuyer’s Class: The Community Service Network of Stoneham will be holding a free. The class will begin on Wednesday, July 20 and will continue for the next three Wednesday evenings. It’s sponsored by the and will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-Registration is required and is limited to approximately 20 people.
  4. In case you missed it: Steve Homsey, who graduated in 2003, is to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis.
