Today is Friday, June 10. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Early Work Day: It’s Friday and a perfect chance to try and sneak out of work a little early. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today will be 77 degrees. Expect it to be mostly sunny today with temperatures dropping to a cool 56 degrees by Friday night. There’s a slight chance of showers after 2 a.m.
  2. 93 Construction: The bridges on Route I-93 north over Route 60 (Salem Street) east and west during the upcoming weekend between 8 p.m., Friday, June 10 and 5 a.m. Monday, June 13. The highway will be reduced to two lanes during construction, so expect delays.
  3. Summer Basketball: Registration is now online for the being held at Wakefield Galvin, Gordon College and Endicott College. The league is for boys and girls from grades four to 12 and has A and B divisions of play. There are two games a week in the evenings plus playoffs. The league starts June 27 and ends Aug. 15.
  4. Solarize Mass: Winchester is one of four Massachusetts communities to be chosen to participate in a pilot program called Residents already participated in the first meeting at the end of May to learn about installing solar panels on their homes. The second installment, which was originally scheduled for this week has been pushed back to Thursday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. at
