Today is Thursday, June 2. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Sunny and cool: Well, the rain is over and expect it to be nice and cool today. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Thursday will be 69 degrees. It should be mostly sunny throughout the day, but as it gets later in the day clouds should start to come in. Don’t worry, there won’t be any rain, but temperatures will drop to 49 degrees by Thursday night.
  2. Hospital Discussion: The Winchester Town Manager’s Office will hold an to hear views, ideas and concerns regarding properties located at bothand on Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. The discussion will focus on traffic, parking, shuttle buses,and impact on the abutting neighborhoods.   The session will be held in the Jenks Room at the .
  3. Pancake Breakfast: Start off your Town Day activities with a pancake breakfast at the cafeteria at the Annual Winchester , Saturday at 9 a.m. Tickets $6 and may be purchased from a Rotary member or at the door. There will be a live disc jockey, face painting by high school students for the kids, helium balloons, and a number of raffle opportunities to benefit the Rotary charities.
  4. Town Day: Don’t forget, Town Day begins on Friday and continues to Saturday, culminating in a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Be sure check out the full schedule of events (PDF).
