Today is Friday, June 24. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Showers and Thunderstorms: The rain will continue Friday. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today will be 64 degrees. It’s expected to rain throughout the day, so be sure to have your umbrella with you. During the afternoon and into Friday night there’s a chance of some thunderstorms.
  2. 93 Construction: This weekend work crews North over Valley Street/ Route 28 South (Fellsway) and the center portion of the bridge on I-93 North over the Mystic River beginning on Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m. and continuing through Monday, June 27 at 5 a.m. Throughout the course of the weekend, traffic on I-93 will be limited to two lanes in each direction over a six-mile segment between Exit 28 (Sullivan Square) in Somerville and Exit 36 (Montvale Avenue) in Stoneham.
  3. Circus: Winchester families for its 21st year of classes starting next Tuesday, June 28 and running for five weeks. Weekly one-hour classes are held in late afternoons during July in Somerville.  The program concludes with performances under the big top at Nunziato Field the weekend of August  5 - 7.
  4. Police Looking for Suspect: The are looking for an Asian man in his 20s who Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to call the Winchester Police at 781-729-1212.
