Today is Tuesday, June 28. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Get out while you can: This weather isn’t going to last forever, so be sure to take advantage of it. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today will be 84 degrees. It’s expected to be mostly sunny throughout the day. If you’re out past midnight, there’s a chance of some showers and thunderstorms.
  2. Splas Park open: and the for the summer season. The beach and splash park is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Holidays and weekends the park will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
  3. Art Show: Over 25 artists will , photographs, mosaics and sculptures of the throughout the month of July at the Beebe Estate Gallery in Melrose. The artists come from towns surrounding the Fells. Opening reception is Friday, July 1 from 7 – 9 p.m. The gallery will be open Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  
  4. Circus: Winchester families for its 21st year of classes starting Tuesday, June 28 and running for five weeks. Weekly one-hour classes are held in late afternoons during July in Somerville. The program concludes with performances under the big top at Nunziato Field the weekend of August 5 - 7.
