Today is Monday, March 14. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Calm Day: There’s no rain, no wind, no frigid temperatures to worry about today. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Monday is expected to be approximately 40 degrees with a slight breeze. By nightfall, it will become a little more cloudy, and temperatures will hover around 25 degrees.
  2. Coffee with the Superintendent: With the general override vote fast-approaching on March 29, will be at on Monday from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to speak about the Topics could include the school budget, curriculum, new programs, school building maintenance or sports and fields. Residents can stop by as their schedule permits.

  4. Senior Healthcare Forum: State Representative Jason Lewis and State Senator Patricia Jehlen will host a for Seniors to discuss federal and state healthcare changes that affect seniors as well as available resources.  The event will take place on Tuesday, March 15, at 6:30pm at the .
  5. Benefit Show: The Winchester Cooperative Theatre’s benefit show – Sleeping Beauty – will be in honor of Milan Moosavizadeh, the local 16-year-old boy who this past May while playing in a soccer tournament.   His sister Shameem, a fifth grader at , is part of the cast. The show will take place on Tuesday, March 22 at 4 p.m. in the Auditorium.
