  1. That’s more like it: As is common with spring the warm weather didn’t last to long. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Thursday is expected to be 48 degrees. It should be mostly sunny throughout the day, but when the sun goes down, clouds will start to move in and there’s a chance of some showers late Thursday night.
  2. Pop Warner: An on Thursday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Gymnasium.  Members of the Winchester Pop Warner Board will make a brief presentation and be available to answer any questions about the program and the upcoming season.  Interested parents are encouraged to attend.  Interested children are also welcome to join their parents at this session if they so desire. This information session is for the football and cheerleading program.
  3. Shingles:  There are a limited amount of shingles shots available for Winchester residents. Each shot costs $87 and you must be at least 50 years old. The vaccine is covered by Medicare Part D. For those who have a limited income and insurance that does not cover the shingles vaccine, financial help is available through the Merck Vaccine Assistance Program. To be eligible, the income guidelines are as follows: an individual making less than $43,320 or a couple making less than $58,280.
