Today is Tuesday, March 22. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Getting closer to spring: It may not be as nice as Friday, but at least it’s not raining. According to the National Weather Service the high for Tuesday is 48 degrees. It’s expected to be mostly sunny today with temperatures dropping into the 20s by nightfall.
  2. Pop Warner: Registration for football and cheer will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday March 26 at the Cafeteria. Winchester Pop Warner will be co-hosting this registration (along with the Sachem Youth Football). Parents should bring their children to this event to register them and have them weighed. Fees and general information are available online
  3. “Like” us: If you haven’t done so already, be sure to head to the Winchester Patch Facebook page and become a fan.
  4. Benefit Show: The Winchester Cooperative Theatre’s benefit show – Sleeping Beauty – will be in honor of Milan Moosavizadeh, the local 16-year-old boy who this past May while playing in a soccer tournament.   His sister Shameem, a fifth grader at , is part of the cast. The show will take place on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Auditorium.
  5. College Fair: The will be held on Thursday, March 24 in the Woburn Memorial High School cafeteria, 88 Montvale Avenue, Woburn. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fifteen colleges are expected to attend. The event, hosted by Woburn High and Woburn's Special Education Parent Advisory Council (www.woburnPAC.org) is free and open to students, their families, and teachers.
