Today is Monday, March 7. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Bring your umbrella: Get ready for a rainy Monday. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today is expected to be 36 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are expected before noon. Also be prepared for patch fog on your morning commute. By Monday night the temperature is expected to drop to around 20 degrees.  
  2. Town Elections: Wednesday, March 9, is the l to vote for the Town Elections, set to take place on March 29.
  3. Benefit Show: The Winchester Cooperative Theatre’s benefit show – Sleeping Beauty – will be in honor of Milan Moosavizadeh, the local 16-year-old boy who this past May while playing in a soccer tournament.   His sister Shameem, a fifth grader at , is part of the cast. The show will take place on Tuesday, March 22 at 4 p.m. in the Auditorium
  4. Dump Runs: Let volunteers of the take care of your trash on Saturday, March 26. The center is currently selling $10
  5. Basketball back in action: Five days after , the Sachems are back in action. Winchester will try to continue their tournament run tonight at 7 p.m. as they travel to play Brighton in the MIAA quarterfinals.
