Today is Thursday, Nov. 17. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Chance Showers: You might some rain on and off throughout the day. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Thursday will be 50 degrees. There’s a chance of some rain throughout the day, ending around 8 p.m. By Thursday night it’s going to start to feel like winter again as temperatures will drop to 30 degrees..
  2. Winton Club Holiday Fair: The continues Thursday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Winchester Hospital Lobby.  Free valet parking is available.  You can beat the Holiday rush and help support the Winton Club at the same time.

  4. Mozart’s Piano Concerto: Dr. Vartan Aghababian has delighted his audience at the many times. He will return on Thursday, Nov. 17 for a lecture with . All are invited to attend this listening-lecture designed to educate historically, structurally and harmonically. This lecture is supported by a grant from the John and Mary Murphy Educational Foundation and is free and open to the public. Coffee and cookies available at 10 a.m.
  5. Best Children’s Books: Join Children's Librarian Stephanie Wolflink and the Family Action Network of Winchester (FAN) at the for her of 2011 on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Learn about the illustrations, text, or rhythm that make each book so attractive to children and their families. will be in attendance with copies of each selection for sale.
