Today is Monday, Nov. 28. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Sunny and warm: After a foggy morning, the sun should break through and make for a warm Monday. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Monday is expected to be 63 degrees. By Monday night temperatures are expected to drop to 46 degrees.

  3. Winchester Gift Certificates: The Winchester Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to shop local. The Winchester gift certificates are a tool to make it easy for people to shop Winchester. They are now available at Century Bank, Northmark Bank, Winchester Co-operative Bank, and Winchester Savings Bank. The certificates can be redeemed at over 50 local merchants.   5. Wright-Locke Farm Proposals: The Board of Selectmen invited each developer who responded to the RFP to their board meeting to make a presentation on their proposal. Each developer will be allowed 15 minutes for a formal presentation followed by a 20 minute question-and-answer session by the Board of Selectmen and a representative of each stakeholder board. The proposed schedule is as follows: 8 p.m.: CMC Partners; 8:40 p.m.: Duffy Properties; 9:20 p.m.: Northland Residential.  Additionally, a public hearing is being planned for the evening of December 12, 2011, time to be determined, at which time all interested parties may provide their comments to the Board of Selectmen on the proposals.
