Today is Tuesday, Nov. 29. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Some showers: After a foggy morning, the rain should move in by the afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Tuesday is expected to be 64 degrees. There could be areas of dense fog on the morning commute, and by the afternoon commute there could be some rain showers and thunderstorms continuing Wednesday.
  2. Tree Lighting: Santa will be , as the town will hold its annual tree lighting beginning at 7 p.m.
  3. Trees for Troops: program ends this Sunday, Dec. 4.
  4. Cabaret Auditions: The Winton Club Cabaret 2012 presents its Annual Cabaret Fundraiser, “It’s About Time” to benefit Winchester Hospital, Jan. 31 through Feb. 4, in the Winchester Town Hall Auditorium. Cabaret Chairwoman/Producer Jean Buckley and the Winton Club invite you to join the cast. on Dec. 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. and rehearsals run the entire month of January.  Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to sing a song of your choice. Bring dance shoes if you can.   5. Winton Club Shopping Day: at on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and support the Winton Club 2012 Cabaret. All purchases, including "Gift Card" purchases, will be applied to the Winton Club Shopping Day profit.
