Today is Wednesday, Nov. 30. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Showers early: After some early rain it should clear up. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Wednesday is expected to be 60 degrees. There could be some rain on your way to work, but that should clear up by 8 a.m. After that expect a sunny and warm day
  2. Boy Scout Wreath Sale: Winchester Boy Scout Troop 503 . Each scout is assigned a territory in town and typically goes door-to-door or makes phone calls to take orders during November.  Prices are the same as last year, $10 for a plain wreath and $15 for a hand-decorated wreath. The decorated wreaths feature pine cones, berries and a red bow, all hand-assembled by scouts and parents. If you haven’t seen a scout in your neighborhood or if you think a scout has missed your house, send your name and contact info to troop503wreaths@gmail.com, or call 978-394-2663.  The request will be forwarded to the appropriate scout based on your home address.  Scouts are taking orders between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 for delivery on Dec. 3.
  3. Tree Lighting: Santa will be , as the town will hold its annual tree lighting beginning at 7 p.m.
  4. Trees for Troops: program ends this Sunday, Dec. 4.
  5. Winton Club Shopping Day: at on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and support the Winton Club 2012 Cabaret. All purchases, including "Gift Card" purchases, will be applied to the Winton Club Shopping Day profit.
