Today is Tuesday, October 19. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Watch for some flooding: Beginning around lunchtime, expect to see some heavy rains. According to the National Weather Service, the high for today is expected to be 59 degrees. It should be mostly cloudy most of the day with rain beginning in the afternoon and continuing all night. Rain could be heavy at times and flooding is possible.
  2. Design on a Dime: The is hosting their event tonight at 7 p.m. at the NextDoor Theater. The evening will feature many local interior designers.   3. Spelling Bee: is a comedy about the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship. The show continues this Thursday at the at 7 p.m.
  4. Vinson-Owen update: The Education Facilities Planning and Building Committee (EFPBC) invites Winchester residents to an update on the rebuild of the , Wednesday Oct. 19 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Parkhurst School. It will be presented by Architect Brooke Trivas of Tappe and EFPBC Chair, Bob Deering. There will be a conversationCommunity members are also invited to see the renovation work that was completed at Parkhurst.
