Today is Tuesday, October 19. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Rain, clouds, then sun: You should get a feel for everything today. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Thursday is expected to be 69 degrees. The rain from Wednesday will continue until about 10 a.m. It should be cloudy the rest of the morning, but as we get further into the afternoon expect to see the sun and some warmer weather.
  2. Fencing: Michael Tarascio, former member of the United States World Championship Team, for ages 7 and older through the . The class schedule is: 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. for beginner through intermediate or ages 7 and older. And 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for beginner - advanced for ages 12 and older.   3. Halloween window painting: Winchester residents beginning at 9 a.m. This event permits the participants to decorate the outside of designated windows of local businesses using specialized paint. This year, you can paint a window by yourself or grab your friend or parent and paint one window together. All windows must have a Halloween theme. For further information, please contact the Recreation Dept. at 781-721-7125.
  4. Spelling Bee: is a comedy about the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship. The show continues this Thursday at the at 7 p.m.
