Today is Wednesday, Oct. 26. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. In comes the rain: The perfect fall weather comes to an end today. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Wednesday is expected to be 52 degrees. It should cloudy throughout Wednesday morning, but by Wednesday afternoon the rain will move in. Expect it to start raining after 2 p.m. and continue into Thursday.
  2. Flu Shots: on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This session will be for the general public, aged 3 and older. Bring your insurance cards, as most insurances are accepted. There’s a $10 fee if your insurance is not accepted.
  3. Griffin Event: Mark J. Reid, senior radio astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, will present on Oct 26, 7 p.m. at the . He'll discuss mapping the spiral structure of the Milky Way, black holes, and the formation of the solar system, using some of Raphael's pictures and real or simulated elements from space
  4. Town Manager Candidate: From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Board of Selectmen Meeting Room, Winchester residents can meet Malden Mayor, Richard Howard, one of three finalists for the Town Manager position in Winchester. On Thursday, Belmont Town Administrator, Thomas Younger will be available to meet with residents.
