Today is Friday, Oct. 28. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. No more snow: Well, it looks like the rain and snow will be out of the area for a little while, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be chilly out there. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Friday is to be 47 degrees. It should be mostly sunny throughout the day. By Friday night, temperatures will drop to 30 degrees with some frost developing around 3 a.m.
  2. Coat Drive: is participating in "Coast for Kids.” They are looking for all sizes from Pre-K through adult large. Hammond asks that you drop off all coats at their office, 552 Main Street, across from Starbucks.
  3. Bust a Move: Between Oct. 15 and Oct. 30, is giving out free hot pink shoelaces with every purchase. The store is also donating five percent of its sales to the local charity which is raising money for the Winchester Hospital breast care center.
  4. Farmers Market: Saturday is the last outdoor of the season.
  5. Pink Floyd: The Underground, a faculty band will perform film live on stage.  The show will be held on Friday, Oct. 28 at 9 p.m., at the . Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased online from nextdoortheater.org or in person at WCMS, 407 Highland Avenue, Winchester.
