Hazardous Wind Advisory in Effect for Tonight

The Massachusetts coast is under a hazardous weather advisory from 9 p.m. on Tuesday through early Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for much of the New England coast tonight, including Winchester.

Periods of strong and potentially damaging southerly winds will occur tonight as an intensifying storm system moves through the upper east coast.

The strongest gusts could reach up to 50 MPH, according to the NWS. Storm impacts could include downed power lines and isolated power outages.

The wind advisory will remain in effect from 9 p.m. tonight, through 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
