Hot Off the T: 5 Things to Do in Boston This Weekend

Psychotic acrobats, gospel music, and a French film festival.

  1. : Psy, is an acrobatics show posing as a play about psychiatric conditions at the Emerson Majestic Theater. The official description is "it explores the surreal underworld of the human psyche through the liberating language of circus arts." Either way, it's unique, fun and amazing. On Saturday and Sunday. Check here for showtimes.
    Take the commuter rail from Winchester Center to North Station, then the Orange Line to Chinatown Station and walk 3 minutes to the theater.

  2. : On Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall Plaza. Enjoy an afternoon filled with gospel music featuring choirs and soloists. This year’s headliner is award-winning gospel artist, Marvin Sapp.

  4. AFRICAN FESTIVAL OF BOSTON: On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at City Hall Plaza. People from all over New England will come to celebrate Africa's rich heritage. This day of celebration will also be a day of education and turning the page on 50 years of negative perceptions of Africa.

  5. : On Saturday from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. watch a performance by an East Indian pop dance company and hear some East Indian music at the  in Copley Square.
