Hot Off the T: 5 Things To Do in Boston This Weekend

Restaurant Week begins; My Morning Jacket performs; and a free movie.

(All events are in walking distance from Orange Line stops on the MBTA.)

  1. MY MORNING JACKET AT THE PAVILLION: Tickets are still available to see this band which has been compared to Neil Young, the Allman Brothers and even the Who. At the Bank of America Pavillion on Sunday at 7 p.m.
    Take the commuter line from Winchester Station, then take the Orange Line to State Street Station and walk 30 minutes (along the beautiful waterfront) to the Pavillion.  

     
  2. FREE MOVIE OUTDOORS: See the Princess Diaries in the South Garden at  on Saturday at sundown.
    Take the commuter line from Winchester Station, then take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 5 minutes to the Prudential Center.

     
  3. BOSTON RESTAURANT WEEK : Fixed priced meals at some of Boston's best restaurants start on Sunday. View the restaurant list here and then plot your T adventure using Google maps.

     
  4. LEARN PARKOUR: The  offers this class taught by experts from New England Parkour. On Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Reserve your spot here. Pricing: $20/$15 for members.

  5. SHOP TILL YOU DROP: The state's tax holiday is being held this weekend so head over to the in the Back Bay and pay no taxes on items costing under $2,500. Check out the full rules and regulations .
