It's one thing to fix traffic in Singapore. But Boston?

A group of engineers from Big Blue recently logged $400,000 of man hours studying Boston's traffic problems, according to the Globe

The result so far is prototype software that would gather information that already exists — but isn't coordinated. As the technology company points out in a demo video about its "Smarter Cities Challenge," the same agency can run subways and buses, but fail to synch them. A bus might leave a subway station on time, stranding a glut of commuters arriving from a train that's a bit late.

While Winchester is settled beyond the public transportation gridlock Boston has to offer, the same bus drivers and commuters fill the streets.
