Two Men Charged for Murder of Reading Man

According to the Eagle Tribune, two men were charged with the murder of Reading man Martin Angelone Butt. Jose “Junior” Rivera, 32, of 176 Farnham St., Lawrence and Albert “Gordo” Vasquez, 18, of 22 Camden St., Methuen were held without bail after being arraigned in Lawrence District Court earlier this week.

Investigation on Bullet Found in NRHS Locker Room Concluded 

After a day of investigating, police were able to determine where the bullet found at North Reading High School came from. According toNorth Reading Police, in conjunction with school officials they were able to identify the student who brought the bullet into the school and investigators believe that he put it into his gym bag after picking it up at a shooting range.

Former Arlington selectman Annie LaCourt and her husband, Mark Burstein, have been charged with furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 (33 counts each) and contributing to a delinquency of a minor (three counts each), according to an Arlington Police press release Monday afternoon.

LaCourt and Burstein were allegedly caught Friday night having another underage drinking party at their Chatham Street residence, while they were home.

Police said they found 33 teenagers at the house, 21 of whom were allegedly intoxicated. Most of them were 17, police said.

Older Man Allegedly Exposes Himself to Couple Near Arlington Reservoir

An older man allegedly exposed himself Sunday evening to a couple walking along the Arlington Reservoir.

Police were called to the area of Reservoir Beach at about 6:09 p.m. There, the reporting party said he was walking with his wife on the path near Busa Farms, on the Lexington town line, when they saw a man just off the path looking at them with his pants around his ankles. The man was “blatantly” touching himself in an “inappropriate” manner, the reporting party told police.

Arlington's Johnnie's Foodmaster to Become a Whole Foods

It's official: Johnnie's Foodmaster in Arlington will become a Whole Foods.

According to an announcement sent by Foodmaster Friday morning, the supermarket chain has agreed to transfer six of its 10 locations in the Boston area to the Texas-based upscale supermarket company.
