Somerville

: It appears Somerville police foiled a prank that involved cups, small balls and balloons on the third floor of Somerville High School, and three young Somerville residents were arrested and charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering for their efforts.

Woburn

Woburn Nets $540K in Tax Title Auction: The City of Woburn took in a good amount of money and put properties back on the tax roll with a successful auction of tax possession property last week.

According to a release from Mayor Scott Galvin, the auction of tax possession property exceeded expectations and generated more than $540,000. This was the first such auction the city held in 25 years.

Melrose 

Homeless Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking Into Unoccupied Home: Geoffrey Aronian, Homeless, was arrested for alleged breaking and entering (nighttime for felony) and illegal possession of ammunition, after he was reportedly seen inside an unoccupied home by a neighbor.

Malden 

The city's former solicitor and an assistant to former Mayor Richard Howard was sentenced to two years in prison Tuesday. 
Charles Toomajian, 55, of Malden, was also ordered to pay $350,000 in restitution for his role in a money laundering schem
