Two Arrested on Prostitution Charges in Reading: Ling Ling Wang, 47, of 61 Kenberma Rd., Worcester and Wen Qui, 36, of 144 Brook St., Quincy were arrested Thursday in Reading on charges of sexual conduct for a fee, according to police.

PHOTOS: Firefighters in Water Rescue Training at Spot Pond: Like every winter, unfortunately, there have been reports from around Massachusetts of firefighters undertaking rescue missions of people or animals who have broken through ice and ended up in freezing cold water.

The Stoneham Fire Department is prepped. On Thursday, the department's Group 4, which is headed up by Capt. Ed Regan, went through water rescue training at Spot Pond. Check out some photos from the training.

Medford

Medford Building Evacuated After Threat: A bomb threat was called into a large office building at 1 Cabot Road in Medford Thursday morning, forcing evacuation of the building. The Massachusetts State Police bomb squad responded to the scene. The building was swept with no finding and employees were allowed to return to the building around 12:30 p.m.

Melrose

Top 50 Earners in Melrose in 2012: Twenty-two of the top 50 earners in Melrose in 2012 were from the Police Department, according to data provided by the city. Eight of the top 10 earners in 2012 were police officers, including top-earning Detective James Mulrenan who earned nearly $170,000.
