Over 700 attended the annual event

Ninth Daddy Daughter Dance has had its share of problems this year. First, a snow cancellation - then a roof safety cancellation, but the popular event finally went ahead Saturday night at The Marriott Hotel in Burlington.

Recreation Director, Chris Nelson, admitted that this year's dance had not been without its challenges, but was pleased the day had finally arrived and was encouraged by the high attendance. Money raised during this event supports other programs offered by Winchester's Recreation Department throughout the year.

Young ladies received a small gift upon arrival, and then sat with dad for complimentary photos. During the evening treats and refreshments were served, but most were more interested in dancing the night away to popular hit songs spun by DJ Todd.

Originally scheduled for Valentine's weekend, the evening was still a success, with many dads having attended the event in the past.
