Police Reports May 17 to May 20

The following information is supplied by the Winchester Police. None of these indicate convictions.

 

Thursday, May 17

10:55 a.m.: Boys chrome mountain bike found behind the Dunkin Donuts on 801 Main St.

Friday, May 18

8:54 a.m.: A Subaru traveling east on Swanton Street had stopped to turn left on McKay Street when a Jeep struck the Subaru from behind. Minor damage sustained.

6:20 p.m.: A minor accident occurred near Johnson Road and Ridge Street, resulting in minor damages. One driver was issued a criminal citation for unlicensed driving and following too close.

11:40 p.m.: Reports of a missing iPod after a minor got on a ride at the EnKa fair and gave their bag to the woman operating the ride. When the ride was over, the youth went to find the iPod and discovered it was missing. The woman running the ride said that she did not know what had happened. The youth found the headphones at the information desk, but they were badly smashed. The iPod is a fourth generation iPod Touch 32 GB Model, estimated at a $300 value.

 

Sunday, May 20

7:38 a.m.: Reports of stolen plants at The Greystone Townhouse. Sometime during the night, someone stole 10 recently planted flowers and bushes values at $500. All plants had been recently planted, therefore, they were easily to pick up and move. None of the neighbors near by saw anything.

10:46 a.m.: Broken basement window at . The window could not have granted anyone access.

11:45 a.m.: A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle in a driveway. Investigation is ongoing.

12:36 p.m.: While at a friends house, caller reported that the family dog had bitten them in three separate places, each needing medical attention. The dog had been involved in another attack before.

12:38 p.m.: Someone turned in $38 in cash to the station.

1:09 a.m.: A green Ford Explorer took an illegal right turn on Shore Road and drove down the entire length of the one-way street in the wrong direction. The driver first said that they did not have their license on them but later admitted that they were not licensed. In fact, the driver had no ID at all. The driver was issued a uniform citation for traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way street and for unlicensed operation. The vehicle was registered and legally parked, so it was not towed. A licensed driver came to pick up the driver.
