Photo Gallery: Project Runway Combines Fashion and Business

Over 500 women attended the annual event.

Over 500 women crowded the Burlington Marriott Wednesday evening, all in support of the Women Helping Women Organization, a subset of the .  The event was a huge hit even before it happened - so much so, that the event had to be moved from the Woburn Hilton to Burlington because they needed more space. Tickets sold out for the event in less than a month.

Kim Miles and Dot Butler organized the event and a had huge runway down the center of the main ballroom.

Several boutiques participated in the event, including Flower Drum, , , , Sells & Company, and Jordan's of Winchester.  Nine original dresses were modeled for the audience, including one by interior designer Mary Snow, made entirely from wall paper.

Snow was inspired to create something quite different after pondering a left-over roll of wall paper from her hallway. She saw how it fell into authentic folds, and realized it would make a magnificent 'faux' dress for model Beth Lock (Beth and Mary are sisters-in-law). That it was made of wallpaper, was a surprise for the audience.
