Question of the Day: Do You Support Massachusetts Gambling

Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

A subject that's been debated for decades came before the House last week, and it took a step closer towards becoming a reality.

State Representative Jason Lewis (D-WinchesteR), along with the other House representatives passed a bill that would allow one slot machine parlor and two full casinos in Massachusetts by a 123-32 margin. It will next go to the Senate, and Governor Deval Patrick has shown initial support.

Supporters say casinos would breath life into the state's job market and would also bring a steady tax flow into the state. Detractors point to other states with casinos, saying they have a high rate of suicide and addiction.
