Question of the Day: Should the Next Town Manager Live in Winchester
The question was brought up at Monday night's Selectmen meeting and we want to know what you think.
The search for a continued during Monday night's meeting.
The board had residents from around town speak about what some of the attributes and characteristics they are looking for in the next Town Manager. One of the topics that was brought up by residents was whether or not the next Town Manager should be required to live in town.
Currently there is nothing on Winchester's Town Charter that would make that a requirement. However, Selectman Jim Johnson suggested either changing the charter or giving the next Town Manager a stipend if they live in Winchester.
