Why Go:  Learn about the rich cultural history of the Silk Road through a variety of dance performances.

Why Go: Kids get snacks, games and a chance to hang out with friends. Parents get free babysitting and a night to themselves.

Pricing: Free, open to all.

Where/When: , Saturday, 7:30-10 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy performances from Winchester’s talented student musicians.

Pricing:  $15 for adults; $8 for seniors and students.  There is a family rate available at the door of $40 (two parents with minor children).  Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at . Proceeds benefit Winchester High School Chamber Music programs.  

Where/When: , Arlington; Tuesday 7 p.m.

Why Go: Watch the documentary Hell on Wheels, which chronicles the rebirth of all-girl roller derby out of the Austin, Texas music and arts scene. Director Bob Ray will be available to speak after the film.
