The Week Ahead: Trivia Bee, Valentine's Dance and Night Out

  • The (WFEE) prepares for the club’s Eighth annual get, which will be held on Wednesday, Feb, 9 at 7 p.m. Founded in 1992, the WFEE is a non-profit organization whose goal is to support innovation and excellence in Winchester Public Schools. The Trivia Bee includes seven rounds of questions with seven teams participating in each round. The winners of each round move on to compete in the sudden death champion round. The winning team receives the prestigious Trivia Bee trophy and bragging rights for the next year. 
  • Enjoy a meal at your favorite restaurant, catch a movie and get some shopping done. And while you're out the will provide: (infants -5th grade), as well as movies, snacks, games, and supervision.
  • Local historian Ellen Knight, preservation consultant John Clemson, and conservator Nancy Schrock will show you how to , their owners, and Winchester history on Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Archives will be open after the talks. Atlases, maps, directories, and building surveys will be on display in the Waterfield Room.
  • Celebrate this Valentine's Day dance at the . The Valentine is for singles and couples. A popular area band, the Fred Manzi Trio, will provide some swing music, and there’ll be some Valentines treats. In addition to the refreshments, there will be a wine & beer bar available. Tickets to this event are $15 and can be purchased at the Center or at Book Ends.
