A stabbing affray took place to place between Italians living on the plains late Wednesday night, one man being slightly wounded in the abdomen. The victim was Vespucci Donata and his assailant was said to be Nichola Collante. The trouble occurred about eleven o’clock, the police not being noticed until nearly an hour later.

As near as can be learned several men, mostly employed at Beggs & Cobbs factory got into a wrangle over some unknown cause in the middle of Florence street near their boarding house. Donata was first assaulted by Giovanni Deangeles and then stabbed by Collante. The friends of the victim first called Dr. Sheehy and notified the police. Deangeles was arrested at his work at his work at Beggs & Cobbs yesterday morning by officer McCauley, but Collante has disappeared. Donata was not seriously wounded. It is expected that Collante will be arrested within a short time.
