1912

1895 vs. 1912:

The 1895  baseball team accepted the challenged by the 1912 team to a game at Manchester Field on Memorial Day. Whatever the outcome of the game on the 30th, whether victory comes to the ’95 team or if they pass the emblem along to a younger generation, the fact remains that the ’95 team will play their hardest and win or lose, they hope this is not their last game together.

Last Monday police conducted extensive fingerprint testing following four break-ins in the Symmes Corner area. Police continue their investigation and wait for homeowners to compile lists of stolen goods. Residents are encouraged to call the police if they see anything remotely suspicious in the mean time.

1987

Police Arrest Pair Linked to Holdups:

State police have apprehended two brothers allegedly linked with a series of armed robberies in Winchester and other Middlesex County Towns. James and Richard Parker of Revere will be arraigned tomorrow on a total of 19 indictments, according to Middlesex County District Attorney Scott Harshbarger. One of the indictments is for an attempted robbery of the Winchester Purity Supreme supermarket on April 8. Police arrested the duo after a car chase following a robbery of a Cumberland Farms in Wilmington on April 25.
