Mistaken Property

The accidentally took land located on 50 Cross Street. The owners had originally agreed to allow visitors to to park on their property during the summer months.

To try to increase parking in the area, Winchester paved over some land, however, some of the land that was paved was in the conservation zone and can't be used for parking.

In doing this work, Winchester accidentally paved over some of the land that 50 Cross Street owned. The town removed five 150-foot trees, and appropriated 1,110 square feet to parking that belonged to these residents.

The board elected to put up a fence separating the two newly-paved properties for the time-being.
