Weekend Planner: Cabaret, Classic Rock and Some CrossFit

Why Go: The Winton Club Cabaret 2012  presents its Annual Cabaret Fundraiser "IT's About Time" to benefit through February 4 in the Winchester Town Hall Auditorium.  Cabaret Chairwoman/Producer Jean Buckley and the Winton Club invite you to join the fun and support Winchester Hospital at the same time. Where/when: Saturday, Feb. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: Beginning Jan. 14 and running to March 17, Mahoney’s will be hosting an indoor farmers market at its Winchester location. The event, similar to the , will run every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m

Pricing: Depends on what you buy.

Where/When: ; Saturday, Feb. 4, 9 a.m.to 1 p.m.

Why Go: The grand opening of Mountain Strength CrossFit is open to the public. All workouts are scalable. Come see what CrossFit is all about. For more information go to their site or call us at 617.575.9348

Where/When: Cornerstone Coffeehouse, Saturday, Feb. 4, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Winchester's self-acclaimed "premier party band", "SIX" will perform acoustic renditions of some of their classic rock repertoire in their hometown on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The "unplugged" format, popularized in the 1990s on by artists appearing on MTV, will be on display at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse (located at the Second Congregational Church of Winchester – 485 Washington St.). Tickets are $10 ($5 for students/seniors), and are available at the door. Coffee, tea, and a variety of desserts will also be available prior to the performance and during intermission.

Where/When: 68 S. Border Rd., Medford; Saturday, Feb. 4, 10 a.m.

Why Go: Join Dan Sumorok on a hiking tour of the southernmost part of the Fells on the Skyline, Reservoir, and Cross Fells trails. This walk will end with a visit to Pine Hill and Wright's Tower, where the view includes Medford, Boston, and the Blue Hills in the distance. The trails are steep and rocky in places. Wear sturdy boots and bring at least a liter of water. Meet at the Bellevue Pond parking area, South Border Road, Medford. Rain cancels.
