Weekend Planner: Father-Daughter Dance and a Movie Night

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

1. Father/Daughter Dance

Where/When: Burlington Marriott, 1 Mall Road, Burlington; Friday, Feb. 17; 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Be sure to head to this special dance that includes a disc jockey, tasty treats, photo opportunities, and a small gift for all the girls. The dance is open for all ages.

Pricing: $25 per couple; $5 each additional child.

2. MOVIE NIGHT

Where/when: Winchester Recreation Department, Friday, Feb. 17, 6:30 p.m.

Why go: Are you a mother? Do you have a son? Is the rest of your family heading to the father/daughter dance on Friday? Don’t worry, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Winchester Recreation Department, there will be a mother/son movie night.

Pricing: $10/family. 

3. CROSSFIT TRAINING

Where/When: CrossFit; Saturday, Feb. 18, 9 a.m.

Why Go: Instruction in CrossFit includes basic to advanced level classes in functional exercise, athletic and martial conditioning, plyometrics, kettlebell training, olympic weightlifting, medicine ball training, and basic gymnastics. Register for their free Saturday Group Intro Class by calling (617) 575-9348. Each class is limited to only six people.

Pricing: Free.

4. WINTER FARMERS MARKET

Where/when: Mahoney's, Saturday, Feb. 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: Beginning Jan. 14 and running to March 17, Mahoney’s will be hosting an indoor farmers market at its Winchester location. The event, similar to the , will run every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m

Pricing: Depends on what you buy.

5. PAWS DANCE

Where/When: 467 Main Street, Wakefield; Saturday, Feb. 18, 7 p.m.

Why Go: What better way for teens to have a little fun while supporting a local animal charity than to attend the Teens for PAWS Valentine’s Day dance.  Tickets are $10 at the door and admission includes a raffle for a $25 iTunes gift card. Youth ages 14 and up are welcome at the event and all proceeds benefit Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society, Inc. (PAWS).There will be live music by the band “The Change Up” along with pre-recorded music. Snacks and water will be sold at the event.
