Weekend Planner: Fundraisers and Farewell Tours

Here are some suggestions of what to do this weekend.

 

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. Every Thursday we’ll be giving you a few suggestions of things to do this weekend. And be sure to let us know of any other events in the area that you might be attending.

Where/When: Friday, March 25, 7 p.m.

Why Go: A Taste of Winchester will feature menu selections from 30 area restaurants and stores. The event, which has been sold out in past years, provides the museum with a significant portion of the annual funding for its photographic exhibitions and programming. The Hoboken Philharmonic Jazz Quartet,whose members are graduates of , will provide the music.

Pricing: $65.

Where/when: ; Friday, March 25 from 7 p.m. to midnight. 

Why go: You want to support one of the best non-profit organizations around, the Tanner TaTas. Enjoy the special TaTa-Tini (a special martini made just for the event), live auctions, music, dancing and numerous raffles. 

Pricing: $20.

Where/when: , Saturday, March 26 from 7 p.m. to midnight. 

Why go: It's a way to have fun, honor a young woman who lost her life too soon, and support the foundation. 

Pricing: $20.

Where/When: Johnny D's in Davis Square, 17 Holland St, Somerville,  Saturday, 4-7 p.m.

Why Go: The national non-profit organization Chick Singer Night (CSN) that promotes up-and-coming young female artists, presents an all-female lineup of talented singers.  

Pricing: $10.

Where/When: , 7 Medford St., Saturday, March 26 at 8 p.m.

Why Go?: The popular 70's funk band, Vanilla Fudge, are swooping through the Regent Theatre on Saturday as part of their final tour. Come check out these rock n' roll giants in Boston for the first time since 2004. Click here to order tickets.
