What's Open and Closed on Dec. 26

Even though Christmas was Sunday, not everything will be open today.

Yes, Santa came and went, but unlike most years, the majority of residents won't be rushing off to work. Since Dec. 25 fell on a Sunday, that means the holiday will be celebrated on Monday.

Winchester schools are on Christmas break, and if you plan on heading into the town center, here's some advice:

Closed: All town, federal, state and county offices, banks, the post office, the , the Recreation Center and the Jenks Center.

If you decide to head into Boston, the MBTA Commuter Line is running on a Sunday schedule. So, for the most part, that means a train will run approximately every two hours. That goes for both the Winchester and Wedgemere train stations.

The last train leaves the Winchester Station at 9:26 p.m. and at the Wedgemere station two minutes later. The final train of the evening is scheduled to leave North Station and head to Winchester at 11:30 p.m., so be sure you don't stay out too late.
