Winchester School to Attend Franklin Park Zoo's Lunar New Year Celebration

The Winchester School of Chinese Culture and Newton-based Tian Yue Academy of the Arts will be at the Lunar New Year Celebration at Franklin Park Zoo.

A Winchester school will be participating in the Franklin Park Zoo's Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, according to a Zoo New England press statement.

The Winchester School of Chinese Culture and Newton-based Tian Yue Academy of the Arts will be at the celebration, which will feature dancing, arts and crafts, according to the statement.

"Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to watch traditional dances, listen to music and learn more about Asian culture," reads the statement. "The day will also include zookeeper encounters so visitors can learn more about the snakes that call the Tropical Forest home."

The Lunar New Year Celebration is slated for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 26. Admission costs $17 for adults, $11 for children ages 2-12, $14 for seniors and children under age 2 get in for free.
