We all want to belong and
have a place to call home but what do we do when our accumulation of belongings trap us in our homes? How can we let go of “stuff”, both tangible and emotional, so we enjoy our surroundings?
A Tempo Senior Move’s unique service “Songs and Stories
Saved” is an oral history project produced by a veteran public radio interviewer. The format may include storytelling and/or singing by the client(s) as their memories and sentiments are stirred up during the move or right-sizing transition. Many have found the interview process to be both fun and therapeutic. By relaying the stories behind the stuff, you can give yourself permission to let go of many items that may have been a burden. Then we create a quality audio that can be a keepsake for your family and friends.

A Tempo Senior Move is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers(NASMM.org), a not-for-profit, professional association of organizations dedicated to assisting older adults and families with the physical and emotional demands of downsizing, relocating, or modifying their homes. Alice Abraham is the owner of A Tempo Senior Move LLC. In creating A Tempo Senior Move, Alice Abraham combines her organizational skills with her compassion for seniors to serve the growing need for assistance with planning a move or modifying the home to age-in-place.
During Alice’s two decades as the music librarian at New England’s premiere public broadcasting company, she efficiently executed three major library moves, which required her to be hands-on and highly responsive to workflow needs. She has served on various health & safety committees and knows how to design safe floor plans. A Tempo Senior Move is so named by its owner Alice Abraham because, as a former librarian, her specialty was music. Her use of the musical direction a tempo (Italian for in time) reflects that her firm’s services are designed to help her clients and their families resume their original pace after a transition. Alice says, “A Tempo will put the ‘ahh’ – sigh of relief – into your move as we take care of all the logistics and help you with the decisions involved in your transition.
