A Voice in Civic Life: a community conversation

Winchester in Transition was the theme of the Multicultural Network’s two community conferences that took place in 2012 and 2013. As the organization continues to follow up on the discussions that took place at those events, the focus will be on ensuring that all voices can be heard.

The first in a series of three programs leading up to the third annual WIT conference this spring will take place Sunday, November 24 from 2:15-4:30 in the Winchester Public Library. “A Voice in Civic Life” is an invitation to hear from Winchester residents from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The afternoon program will include a short performance from members of the True Story Theater (truestorytheater.org) and comments from four panelists: State Representative Jason Lewis, School Committee member Susan Verdicchio, Town Meeting Representative Wei Han, and Jennifer Wilson, member of the Board of Selectmen. Each of these individuals will present a different perspective on involvement in the life of our community.
