Easing Conversation in Difficult Times

The entire Winchester Community is invited to attend “Easing Conversations in Difficult Times”, an interactive presentation by Donna Sharff, Director of the Children’s Room, a regional bereavement center located in Arlington whose mission is to help grieving children, teens, and families in our communities to go on living fully.  Donna will address the needs, challenges and opportunities that children and families face when confronted with early loss.  Information will be shared from a developmental perspective, and there will be ample time for questions and for browsing a display of books and resources.

The Children’s Room is the largest independent non-profit in Massachusetts dedicated to supporting families who have suffered early loss.  Donna Smith Sharff, LMHC is the executive director of the Children’s Room and has worked there with hundreds of grieving children and families since 2003.  Donna holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Lesley University.

This event, hosted free of charge by the First Congregational Church of Winchester, is open to all in our community and will be held on Monday evening, October 29, from 7-8:30 PM in the Palmer Room of the First Congregational Church, 21 Church Street, on the Common.  For additional Information, please call 781-729-9180 x16.
